The WCA Level 1 (CWC) Certified Whale Champion Certificate is an introduction focused on the WCA Global Guidelines and how to be Responsible around Cetaceans. This is targeted at Unpaid Experiences within the WCA Network of 120+ Partners.

The WCA Level 2 (CMG) Certified Marine Guide Certificate is also accepted by New Zealand Immigration as a required Skill Shortage qualification.
After 12 months working as a Level 2 Guide for a WCA Partner you can complete an (SMG) Senior Marine Guide Certification to become a recognized Professional Guide.
Already in the Industry and seek recognition for the experience you already have as a Marine Guide? ( 24 months prior experience needed to apply)
This course focuses on Expert Guiding Skills so you will become the BEST.
The WCA Level 3 Certified Marine Guide Certificate is also accepted by New Zealand Immigration as a required Skill Shortage qualification.
This training is delivered by the World Cetacean Alliance (WCA) and WCA Partner Marine Guide Training. The WCA is a non-profit organisation and global partnership of responsible whale watching tour operators, NGOs, researchers and individuals with a shared passion for protecting cetaceans and their habitats. Marine Guide Training provides a Quality Global Qualification system for Marine Guides. The Global Online system provides WCA Quality assurance and carries the WCA message through our Guides to the World.
