Hello! My name is Sofia Argueta.
My initials actually spell SEA, which has always felt like a small reminder of where I’m meant to
be — connected to the ocean and working to protect it.
Guiding across the Salish Sea the last 2 years has shaped who I am—someone who thrives in
shifting tides, magical wildlife encounters, and the excitement of never knowing what each trip
will bring.
I’m driven by a genuine connection to marine life and a hope to inspire others to care for it. I
believe strongly in connecting people to the ocean through storytelling, science, and
stewardship. With a background in zoology, strong ecological knowledge, an enthusiastic and
confident presence on the water, and a spirit of adventure, I aim to create meaningful,
conservation-minded experiences for every guest.
I hope my passion for adventure and a deep love for the ocean will grant me the opportunity to
work worldwide and become an international ambassador for whales and dolphins!

I am seeking a Certified Marine Guide position with a WCA Responsible Whale and Dolphin

qualifications.
I would like to continue having tasks signed off in WCA Training Record Book while I work for a
WCA Partner. This will allow me to continue my Career path with the WCA as a Responsible
