I have always been passionate about wildlife, and after getting my bachelor’s in biology, I got a job in Maui working snorkel trips and whale watching. I spent several months in South Africa researching wildlife in Kruger National Park, and another stint in the Peruvian Amazon, studying the recovering rainforest. My passion lies in the ocean however, and after four years I got my captain’s license and moved to Alaska where I’ve been captaining and watching whales in their feeding grounds. Being a guide allows me to explore my passion in wildlife and educate the public on sustainability and conservation.
